Standard pattern properly cut high waisted trousers with side seam pockets, and a watch pocket at the waistband. Back is V cut with lined adjustable belt and sewn in black enameled brass buckle.  The interior waistband and pockets are natural cotton muslin. Waist buttonhole handsewn, as are all interior fly buttonholes. Four button fly, one waist button and six suspender buttons. Our black enameled stippled tin buttons throughout.  Made of sturdy white cotton drill, a quite popular material during the mid 19thc period. All marked for Noah walker of Baltimore, documented wartime and pre-war maker appropriate for either side of the line. (Note: We stamp our clothing as they did in the day evidenced by originals examined. Do not expect a perfectly centered perfect stamp. Stamps may vary in darkness and even occasionally may be partial. Where a significantly partial stamp is the result, you may expect a double stamp. We do make an effort to make the stamp reasonably readable as an historical enhancement) These are a great example of a common utility trouser and yet under-represented in the genre, appropriate for any trade, with some military applications as well. Note: the photos on the mannequin picture the exact same pattern and cut trousers but in cotton duck (a canvas weave) for illustrative purposes only. The pictures on the hanger are these trousers in the cotton drill. Shipped un-hemmed so you can properly adjust length to your preference. Size indicated is actual waist measurement of trousers from center of button to center of buttonhole. Although our clothing items have found widespread approval – uniforming and outer clothing is not our primary business and until now we have restricted sale of such items to over the counter sales at events and at the shop, where the purchaser has the opportunity to try on the item before purchase.
