Standard pattern properly cut high waisted trousers with side seam pockets, and a watch pocket at the waistband. Back is V cut with lined adjustable belt and sewn in brass buckle.\u00a0 The interior waistband and pockets are natural cotton muslin. Waist buttonhole handsewn, as are all interior fly buttonholes. Four button fly, one waist button and six suspender buttons. This run has our well documented hand drilled Gibson style wood trouser button. (stock photos may show other buttons such as pewter or stamped brass) Made of hand dyed gray and tan mixed jean wool in the same excellent quality as our other clothing items. (this production line is specifically designed to represent the less refined production of the day and some minor weave anomalies should be expected) Marked for southern pre-war and wartime maker N. C. Folger of New Orleans, who advertised as dealing in “Ready Made Clothing” and a line of products he described as “Plantation Goods”. Shipped un-hemmed so you can properly adjust length to your preference. Size indicated is actual waist measurement of trousers from center of button to center of buttonhole<\/em>. Although our clothing items have found widespread approval – uniforming and outer clothing is not our primary business and until now we have restricted sale of such items to over the counter sales at events and at the shop, where the purchaser has the opportunity to try on the item before purchase. We take no orders for clothing to be made. Please be sure of your size requirements, measuring at the proper CW period waist height prior to purchase. Important Note: Our\u00a0 jean wool\u00a0 material involves a hand dying process and, just as in the day, this does result in some degree of variation\u00a0 in shades from lot to lot. This means that two different clothing items of the same material in our inventory may not necessarily “match” perfectly, especially if they were made season over season. (In some cases the difference can be obvious) If you are wanting clothing made from the exact same dye lot to make a matching suit of clothes, please inquire before purchase and also specify in notes with order. If trying to match a piece of clothing already purchased more than 6 months ago it is highly unlikely we will have perfectly matching inventory available. This variance was common in the day, even in contract uniform production.
