This is the same quality popular pencil we have always sold &#8211; consistent with our commitment to more material culture diversity, this run has a coat of clear varnish and the labeling adjusted accordingly. Eagle and most other commercial manufacturers made and sold varnished pencils during the period. The treatment was thought to strengthen the instrument. Just the ticket for the HQ box, etc. Tied up with twisted cotton string &#8211; another item with our signature commitment and attention to detail. We have made this item exclusively for years and it is currently seen in multiple museums displays and has been featured on set in several historic movies and television productions.
