Mid-sized Liquor Bottle (C267)

Mid-sized Liquor Bottle (C267)

$10.00

Description

Standard Civil War era ” black” glass liquor bottle with crude applied lip and kick-up base. Three-piece mold construction “K” on base, possible mark for Kearns Zanesville, Ohio, C. 1864. Small ding on lip as seen in photo, but body is sound with no cracks. (Black glass is actually very dark green created by the carbon used in cheaper glass production between 1700 and 1870, the thicker the glass the more opaque the appearance) Typical surface scratching and patina with common glass imperfections. Nice visible mold seams and overall surface sheen despite age. Good average example vital to any camp display. 9″ tall, 2″ at base. Price discounted due to inconsequential chip.
