This is a lot of one of our earlier runs of flannel underwear consisting of both Undershirts and Drawers. These were made by one of our earliest seamstresses, now passed, before we had modified them to have the muslin waistband/fly and collar/placquard about ten years ago now. We pulled this lot offline because we had received a couple of returned drawers due to some flaws in the flannel material. A couple of the pieces had weak spots in the canton (cotton) flannel material which the seamstress did not catch and were immediately discarded. We did not see the material issue when we had inspected them for craftsmanship. It appears that toward the end of the bolt some of the material was thin and simply not up to our normal quality. We inspected most of them and found them ok, but never finished or put them back online as we had already started a new run with our modifications which made the construction stronger and were, like the first type, also consistent with our historical research. We sold hundreds without complaint and the return that requested replacement also requested a larger size. Most are stamped by us for N Walker of Baltimore. Some of the drawers are missing the separate herringbone cotton tie in the back. The big drawers are not stamped and were a special order for a film project. I’ve worn a set of these in camp in cooler weather for almost ten years. (I did bust out the seat in a pair of drawers one weekend but that was with some pretty hard riding on a rental horse with an incredibly unpredictable gait that was literally insane – and I busted out my trousers as well! By Sunday I had renamed him Shake, Rattle, and Roll) ONLY SOLD AS A LOT. WARNING: THESE GARMENTS ARE NOT TO BE RE-SOLD AS A CURRENT SOFS PRODUCT REGARDLESS OF STAMPING! DOING SO MAY RESULT IN TERMINATION OF FUTURE PATRONAGE PRIVELEGES!
