Description

Each envelope holds 8 tablets of walnut colored ink. Ink tablets, cakes, powders, etc. were all common place in the period as Gideon’s early nineteenth century newspaper broadside attested. Popular bright orange envelope as seen on quite a few other period publications, advertisements, and labels. Instructions are on label. (Note: the photo shows ten tablets, the current packets hold eight – this run will be the last of the tablets we currently have in inventory and the maker has gone out of business – we are searching for a replacement as they are very popular, but thus far have had no success in locating any, worldwide. We are now in production again of our fine Jacob Gideon’s powdered inks.
