Here are some fine mittens patterned after the Army shooting mitten prescribed for the period. They are made of knit wool and feature the thumb and trigger finger separated so the user can continue to perform all the tasks required of the soldier whilst keeping the hands protected from the cold. The end of the mitten section is sewn closed by inseam.  The appeal for mittens to be made by citizens for the use of soldiers and distributed by the Women’s Central Relief Association indicated any color other than white was acceptable. We offer a brown, a dark gray, and a dark green mitten, as pictured. One size fits all – basically a medium size. If a larger size is needed we have successfully tested wetting the mitten and stretching and blocking it to dry. Our highest grade shooting mitten.
