Standard single border gold bullion pattern shoulder straps, the most common type of the period. Dark blue wool backing and special royal French Blue Infantry field. Double gold bullion bars denoting rank in each end of field. This was a documented and popular higher grade variant color utilized by several makers during the war. Comes in a paste board box and labeled for well known pre-war and wartime military goods dealer James C. Ritchie. Ritchie held numerous government contracts as well as making all manner of military and fraternal organization regalia. One of each pair of straps also bears his tag. Interior of box has our signature period, tissue thin, brown paper – copied after examining multiple period boxes and packaged items. This is left over from our very popular event only tent stock and may or may not be re-stocked depending on demand. NOTE: Rank bars may vary on these straps between pattern which has bars running the full width of the field and attached to the border and the type with shorter free standing bars.
