Description

Classic wartime item documented and pictured in many sources. Japanned tin case with standard Civil War era construction soldered seams and flat bottom. The lid is a very nice domed style, a cut above the more common flat ones. In addition it is stenciled in gold leaf “Drinking Cup”. Three piece collapsible pewter cup with flared base and very nice beaded edge under the lip. A few little dings in the tin, as seen in the photos, and typical scratching, but retains a great amount of the japanning. A fine example for any display or collection. (seen in Lord’s CWA, FMCW, AEU, CCW to name a few) Priced at 60% 0f retail.
