Quite early and rare edition of American Track Society child’s book entitled “The Childs Book on the Sabbath” by Rev. Horace Hooker. Published in 1835 by Leavitt, Lord & Co., New York. Instructional treatise on the importance of the Sabbath, it’s rationale in the world, how to keep it, famous people’s testimony of the importance, etc. Sound overall condition with some cloth cover separation and wear along spine. (see photos)  Cover is pressed and embossed cloth with gold lettering on spine, still readable at 40%. All text is present and readable. Some interior foxing. Some age discolorations and consistent age patina. All 201 pages present with squared edges. Nice early book.
