Description

Sturdy cotton web strap, 1″ wide, with hand sewn leather tab with button hole on one end and leather button sewn on the other end. (stitching and leather is treated using historically documented process) This type strap was likely in use and made by other makers, possibly both North and South. A type which saw some common use and certainly appropriate for civilians as well. Hughes, Pendergrass & Snow, of Monroe, Georgia was a documented wartime maker and the leather button in particular is most oft attributed to them. (O’Donnell)
