Our gray wool civilian pattern vest made with the also popular shawl type collar. Lightly quilted black cotton lining and black cotton back. This run has matching cloth covered buttons.  Adjustment strap in back with sewn in standard two prong black enameled buckle. Two front pockets. A strikingly handsome soft and comfortable vest. The pattern of this vest is a bit different than our notched collar vests. As seen in the photos, the front is more straight across when buttoned and the edges of the bottom front corners are rounded. Also, the back is the same length as the front as opposed to being shorter in the notched collar version. (please remember this when determining size) Available labeled for documented southern, western federal or northeastern wartime and pre-war makers. (please specify in comments with order as to which label is preferred or we will mark garment based upon customer’s shipping address) This type and color is appropriate for the civilian or soldier of either side. (Note: Unlike modern American sizes which are often larger than the actual measurement indicated, the measurement from side seam to side seam at the base of the arm hole is the actual chest size given, there is a taper inward at the high waist about 3-4″, and then a less pronounced flare back out down to the bottom than on the notched collar vest. Please measure your waist over trousers to determine proper size to fit over them) Although our clothing items have found widespread approval – uniforming and outer clothing is not our primary business and until recently we have restricted sale of such items to over the counter sales at events and at the shop, where the purchaser has the opportunity to try on the item before purchase. PLEASE disregard modern sizing models when considering a purchase and instead utilize the actual garment measurements provided in the item description, against the actual measurements you wish the clothing item to fit over, prior to purchase.
