Standard smaller size badge for kepi, sometimes also found on original slouch and civilian type brimmed hats. Gold bullion wire oval on black wool felt cloth. In center is silver Engineer device surrounded by gold bullion leaves. Badge is backed with black muslin and labeled for J. Groosman, a pre-war and wartime dealer in military and fraternal organization regalia. Comes in a paste board box also labeled for the dealer. Interior of box has our signature period, tissue thin, brown paper – copied after examining multiple period boxes and packaged items.
