Description

Extra heavy high quality beveled cut glass base, designed to prevent tipping. On shipboard and in field these typically set in a woodcut edged space on desktop to also prevent sliding. Measures 2-5/8″ square at shoulder with slight taper to 2-1/2″ square at base. Generous sized well formed in glass. 1-1/8″ depth to rounded bottom of well and same across beveled edged mouth. Original vintage cork in place. Weighs in at a stout 1 lb., 1 oz. Clean and clear with only minor surface scratching to base and a very few minor nicks to cut corners. Not often encountered.
