Rag Wool, the original “Shoddy” or it’s close variant known as Mungo, was developed in the early part of the 19th Century as a less expensive alternative to Virgin Wool products. It is basically recycled wool from various types of textiles and garments, sorted by similar colors, re-spun into yarn and woven into various products such as blankets and garments, sometimes with small amounts of other materials in the process. Appropriate for soldiers and civilians alike. Warm medium weight. Comes packaged in our period paper, folded in common documented period method.
