Description

Saint George, the patron saint of soldiers, is seen on the front of the medal, seated on a horse, slaying a serpent with a lance. Overhead it reads “St. George”. On the reverse are the raised letters reading “PRAY FOR US” and “Italy”. Each medallion is made in Italy of high grade pewter with nice sharp relief and has a ring for attaching to a neck chain, lanyard or fob. Comes in the little wrapper with label reading “Rome, Italy”. Pewter, silver, and gold religious medals with patron saints, prayers, etc., are well documented among the personal effects of fallen soldiers and veterans.
