Description

Straw hat with leather sweat band. Hat body is sewn construction (cotton thread) with a hand tied herringbone cotton ribbon. This is a common utility type hat made with good period construction several steps above the norm available. The sweat bands are hand made and attached with hand stitching and period type glue. (this is not the chinese “Amish” hat with monofilament thread and a hot glued in sweat pad in the front only) This is the last of our event only inventory of these hats. Each one is unique in some way – the one that is pictured is the one that you get. The brims can be re-shaped by wetting and drying in the shape preferred – then apply some stiffening agent if desired. Discounted due to smaller size.
