Our top drawer oil cloth wallet. Handmade by Mr. Marsh utilizing period processed and tinted maroon/red oil cloth. This wallet is a high grade wartime style with a tri-fold configuration utilizing much more material and requiring a more advanced commitment to detail and crafstmanship. The interior is lined in bleached cotton muslin and features two inner pockets when initially opened, both with closing flaps, one secured with a slip and tongue. When this second flap is opened, the wallet unfolds yet again with a third inner pocket with closing flap. All of these pockets are independently backed and attached at the outer edges so that the backs and the outer skin form a document slip the entire length and width of the wallet. This feature was found in many wallets during the period but not found in any reproduction we have ever seen. Completely folded the wallet measures the same 4″ x 6 3/4″ as our other oil cloth examples. An SoFS exclusive.
